Unsent Letters
If I have stumbled out of line and fallen wayward
Let me just say that it was all to catch your beautiful eye
Because your attention means the more than just the world to me

If I have crossed a boundary and done you wrong
May I please interject that I only wanted to hear your melodic voice
Because even the angriest words sound like heaven to my unworthy ears

If I have upset the balance and spoken out of turn
Can I not reason with you that when you turn around to face me
I lose all the air inside of my lungs and I feel the heat of the sun grace my face

If I have caused a catalyst and started a quarrel
Would it be wrong to try to save what has not flourished between us
Because in my dreams the deafening silence fades into your sweet voice,

The darkness fades slowly into your mesmerizing eyes,
And I can breathe again because my lungs have filled with air
